✦ Synopsis

We have performed an X-ray scattering experiment on the Kondo-lattice compound CeΓ°Ru 1Γ€x Rh x Þ 2 Si 2 ; which shows an incommensurate spin density wave (IC-SDW) in the Rh-concentration range 0:03oxo0:35: We have discovered charge scattering due to the charge density wave (CDW) with a wave vector 2Q; where Q ΒΌ Γ°0 0 qÞ is the wave vector of IC-SDW. This is the first observation of the CDW associated with the IC-SDW in Kondo-lattice compounds.

Using an effective model Hamiltonian, we performed bond-length-optimized RHF and UHF band structure calculations to describe the electronic structure of the fullerene Ε½ . polymer C . For the doped system, the RHF calculations predict a gap on the 100 60 x meV scale, in good agreement with experimen
