β¦ Synopsis
The plenary talk was given by the author.
The condensate of Cooper pairs in the superfluid phases of 'He can carry a spin current. In the A-phase a manifestation of the spin flow is masked by noncpnservation of spin because of the appreciable spin-orbit interaction.
In the B-phase for pulsed NMR experiments this interaction can be effectively excluded and the spin flow gives rise to phenomena which are characteristic of superfluids. Such phenomena, including the spin flow through a channel, the Josephson effect, the formation of quantized vortices, were observed and investigated in the Institute for Physical Problems in Moscow. A specific phenomenon -the two-domain precession -has been observed too. The principal experimental results with their theoretical interpretation are summarized here.
