✦ Synopsis

The effect of pH end sarfactant concentration on the agglomeration of aqneons dispersions of fine (< 10 pm) wolframite ((Fe,Mn)WO4) mineral particles is described. Dodecylamine was used to render them hydrophobic and iso-octane to bind them into agglomerat%s sufficiently strong to be recovered by screening. The feasibility of selective agglomeration of wolframite from quartz (SiO2) was also established, both in batch and continaons reactors.
