The speed of sound u in carbon dioxide has been measured along seven isotherms at Ε½ . temperatures between 220 and 450 K by means of a spherical resonator. At supercritical temperatures, the greatest pressure on each isotherm was chosen to correspond to approximately one-half of the critical density
The viscosities and speeds of sound of 15 binary mixtures of alkyl alkanoate methyl-or ethyl propanoate . Ε½ . and butanoate -hydrocarbons n-heptane, benzene, chlorobenzene and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane have been measured at 308.15 K and 318.15 K. The mixture viscosities were correlated by Grunberg-N
