An effective use of resources is a determinant for long term competitiveness.

Investment decisions are always affected by the uncertainty of circumstances. It appears, though, that improving speed reduces uncertainty and improves the efficiency of resource allocation. An analysis of industrial statistics supports the notion of a new productivity paradigm with results from a number of distinctly different industries and countries.
