Abstract
On the basis of a novel spectrum conversion phase‐locked loop, this article presents a method to recover a 10.709‐GHz synchronized clock from an optical signal of 42.84 Gbit/s (NRZ 2^7–31^–1) and demonstrates a 43 Gbit/s 3R optical receiver based on the spectrum conversion PLL. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
