β¦ Synopsis
A simplified model describing the electronic levels of a (\left(f_{28}\right)^{n}) configuration is proposed. A new tensorial formulation for Jahn-Teller (linear, quadratic, . . .) operators is developed. Particular attention is given to the case of electronic states with (G^{\prime}) symmetry and to their vibronic structures. Calculations and predictions are made for the (a) and (e) electronic states of (\operatorname{lrF}_{6}). ic 1994 Academic Press. Inc.

A tensorial formalism adapted to the case of octahedral molecules or molecular ions with halfinteger angular momenta is proposed as an extension of the usual formalism for the group chain \(O(3) \supset O_{h}\). We use the chain \(S U(2) \otimes C_{l} \supset O_{h}^{\mathrm{s}}\), where \(O_{h}^{\ma
Electron spin-echo envelope modulation (ESEEM) spectroscopy is widely used to investigate the active sites of biological molecules in frozen solutions. Various cryoprotection techniques, particularly the addition of co-solvents, are commonly employed in the preparation of such samples. In conjunctio
