โœฆ Synopsis

Femtosecond optical excite and probe spectroscopy was applied to didecyl-sexithiophene in solution using one-and twophoton excitation. A transient absorption forms immediately after excitation and remains stable between 400 fs and 15 ps. Induced fluorescence arises about 400 fs after excitation and increases further up to 15 ps. The results are explained by a 2Ag state above the IBu state which acts as a storage level in the first 15 ps.
