Features in the visible and ultraviolet emission spectrum of the reaction zone of reduced-pressure acetylene + oxygen flames (apparently previously unreported) are found to correlate satisfactorily with the known spectra of the 012 and CH1 radicals.
An experimental and theoretical investigation of OH-and CHr-radical profiles in a premixed stoichiometric CH,/02 flat flame burning at a total pressure of 10 Torr has been carried out. Relative OH concentration profiles were determined using laserinduced fluorescence (LIF). Absolute calibration of t
