A periodic brightness variation of about 6 days was found by applying maximum entropy method to the visual brightness of Comet Bradfield 1987s. This activity was clearly apparent in January of 1988. No other outstanding period was detected. This suggests that the period of the rotation or precession
UBV observations and magnitudes of head of Comet Bradfield (1987s) during six nights in December 1987 are given. Magnitude and intensity variations and colour indices of three circular zones from the centre of the cometary head have also been estimated.
A large scale disturbance (LSD) in plasma tail of comet Bradfield 1987s has been observed in some wide field photographs taken in the days 1987 October 19-20. A conspicuous plasma 'cloud' moving along the tail axis is also visible. Wind-shock analysis shows that the LSD can be explained.as the effec
