โฆ Synopsis
A snnple, rapid and highly sensltwe fluonmetnc method IS proposed for the detezmmatmn of four phammceut~cally unportant duoxanthene denvatwes, namely chlorprothucene, metluxene hydrochloride, clopenthuol hydrochlonde and flupentiol hydrochlonde The method IS based on measurmg the fluorescence produced by reaction wth orthophosphone acid The fluorescence I measured at 544-548 MI after excltatum at 368 nm The cahbrakon graphs are lmear over the concentrauon ranges 0 l-l 3,0 OS-O 5,O 2-2 0 and 0 2-2 0 pg ml-' for the four compounds respectwely The method was appbed to the determma tmn of the compounds e&z-r m pure form or m theu dosage forms The results obtamed are m agreement wth those gwen by an offimal method
