Abstract

We study spectral properties of boundary integral operators which naturally arise in the study of the Maxwell system of equations in a Lipschitz domain Ξ© βŠ† ℝ^3^. By employing Rellich‐type identities we show that the spectrum of the magnetic dipole boundary integral operator (composed with an appropriate projection) acting on L^2^(βˆ‚Ξ©) lies in the exterior of a hyperbola whose shape depends only on the Lipschitz constant of Ξ©. These spectral theory results are then used to construct generalized Neumann series solutions for boundary value problems associated with the Maxwell system and to study their rates of convergence (Β© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. ## Abstract A hybrid method for solution of Maxwell's equations of electromagnetics in the frequency domain is developed as a combination between the method of moments and the approximation in physical optics. The equations are discretized by a Galerkin method and solved by an iterative block Gauss

## Abstract This paper is concerned with the solvability of the hyperbolic Maxwell system in Lipschitz cylinders via integral methods. By means of the Laplace transform, the original hyperbolic Maxwell system is reduced to a family of stationary Maxwell equations indexed by Ο‰, the Laplace variable.
