Thus, by quaternization of pyridine and its 3-and 4-derivatives with l-bromo-and 4iodoadamantanes in the presence of a small quantity of water it is possible to obtain the corresponding adamantylpyridinium salts (see Tables 1 and2). Pyridine derivatives having substituents at the 2-position do not u
