โฆ Synopsis
LPZ AR, an alternative to fast Fourier transform spectral analysis, is presented with enhanced resolution and sensitivity. By combining the linear prediction z-transform method, and the more efficient Levinson-Durbin algorithm or the Burg algorithm, one can improve computation speed significantly as compared to the Householder or the singular value decomposition. Unlike the maximum entropy method, the LPZ AR method yields phase information and thus can be applied to analyzing signals with arbitrary phase.
