✦ Synopsis

Daily observations of solar bursts at 35 GHz have been in progress at the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory since January 1968. A 30-cm parabolic reflector is used and measures the total flux density. Six impulsive bursts have been recorded so far. Flux densities were measured for five of them, and upper limits were given for the

Microwave observations with exceptionally high spectral resolution are described for a set of 49 solar flares observed between May and October 1981. Total power data were obtained at 40 frequencies between 1 and 18 GHz by the Owens Valley frequency-agile interferometer with 10 s time resolution. Sta

It has been controversial whether the flare-associated hard X-ray bursts are thermal emission or non-thermal emission. Another controversial point is whether or not the associated microwave impulsive burst originates from the common electrons emitting the hard X-ray burst. It is shown in this paper

A surprisingly good correlation has been found for SPA measured at VLF propagation (&b) and 7 GHz solar microwave burst energies (E~,). The data are correlated in the form A4~ = a log U~, + b and include all kind of solar events, irrespectively from type, complexity or duration. Soft X-ray peak flux
