✦ Synopsis
A method for the determination of the heat capacity of small quantities of isotopic mixtures of liquid helium has been developed and used also for the measurement" of the specific heat of 4He. The scattering of the experimental points within 4% along the smoothed curve given by Kramers, Wasscher and Gorterl) confirms their results. The same experimental setup has been used for the determination of the specific heat of a mixture of 4He with 2.50% of 3He between 1.05 and 2.3°K. \¥ith respect to pure 4He an appreciable increase of the heat capacity of the mixture (about 40% at 1. I°K, the relative increase diminishing with the rise in temperature) and a shift of the ~-temperature of 0.037 degK has been found as a result of three series of measurements.
