โฆ Synopsis
The specific heat of selected ceramic samples of the SlK-superconductor YBa2Cu40S prepared under an oxygen pressure of S5 bar is investigated. For the most homogeneous sample, the coefficient of the "linear" term at T<<T c is ~*-4.9ยฑ0.2 mJ/(K 2 mole), and the initial Debye temperature is 8(0)-350ยฑ10K. The specific heat jump at T c 6C/T c -16 mJ/(K2mo l e ), and the Sommerfeld constant evaluated at high temperatures, ~-12 mJ/(K 2 mole), are much smaller than those of YBa2Cu307'
