โœฆ Synopsis

The 12 manuscripts selected for presentation in this Special Issue were carefully passed through a peer-review process and resulted in an interesting and balanced collection of papers that we believe constitutes a contribution to the field of Inorganicbonded Fiber Composites Materials. Many of these technologies are extensively manufactured around the world while others are in concept stage. They include tailoring and modeling of fiber-cements, adequate specification and preparation of raw-materials, appropriate processing and evaluation of composites performance and durability.

The authors thank Professor Michael C. Forde, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Construction and Building Materials for his welcoming and encouragement to participate in this Special Issue. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the contributors for their work and particularly for their patience during the peer-review process, and to the reviewers for their efforts toward ensuring a high quality in the final manuscripts. Finally we hope that the papers will be of some value to those in the materials and manufacturing community with an interest in fiber-cement composite materials.
