โฆ Synopsis
Cross sections for atomic or molecular reactive scattering from a medium are expressed in terms of space-time CorreIation functions of the medium and transition amplitudes for individual reactive collisions. Among the physical effects included thereby are energy and momentum transfer to the medium. The relevant space-time correlation function for a reac tion of type A + M + B + C is a one-particle Green's function describing creation and propagation of an "M hole".
