β¦ Synopsis
This
particular anthology is unique in that it looks at how we poor human beings
will deal and interact with the future. The theme of "Nightmare
Brother" in how does the individual deal with not only the unknown, but the
unknowable as well. This theme been reused many times in modern stories. For
those who have not found Eric Frank Russell, "Dear Devil" is one of
the most heartwarming stories ever written in this genre. "Tools of the
Trade" gives us a story of what politics are and maybe what they should
be. I cannot recommend this anthology enough.
