## Abstract **Background** Sporotrichosis most commonly presents as a localized lymphocutaneous infection following traumatic inoculation of soil, vegetables or organic substrates contaminated with the dimorphic fungus __Sporothrix schenckii__. Cases of widespread cutaneous lesions are rare. There
