β¦ Synopsis
Sound transmission through viscoelastic sandwich panels into rectangular enclosures is investigated in the low frequency range (0-1000Hz). Both harmonic and stationary random external pressure fields are considered. Two opposite edges of the plate are simply supported while the other two edges are elastically supported. A forced damped normal mode analysis is used for response calculations. Numerical results are presented for different parameters of the viscoelastic core.
