β¦ Synopsis
Batch experiments have been performed to study the sorption and transport properties of Cs +, Sr 2+ and Eu a Β§ on different clay minerals already established to be predominantly kaolinite and montmorillonite. The uptake of these radionuclides increases in the order Cs < Sr < Eu. This trend agrees perfectly with the overall sequence in ion-exchange equilibria.

## Abstract Flumioxazin adsorption kinetics were described using a Greenville sandy clay loam soil. Adsorption kinetics experiments showed that 72% of total herbicide was absorbed after 1 h of continuous shaking and continued to increase to 78% after 72 h. Flumioxazin adsorption was then tested on
The mechanism of Co uptake from aqueous solution onto hectorite (a magnesian smectite) and its impact on the stability of this clay mineral were investigated as a function of Co concentration (TotCo = 20 to 200 Β΅M, 0.3 M NaNO(3)) and ionic strength (0.3 and 0.01 M NaNO(3), TotCo = 100 Β΅M) by combini
The local structural environment of Co sorbed on hectorite (a magnesian smectite) has been investigated by polarized EXAFS (P-EXAFS) spectroscopy on a self-supporting film of Co-sorbed hectorite. This sorption sample was prepared by contacting Co and hectorite at pH 6.5 and at high ionic strength (0
