To examine the behavior of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) during shock-induced pyrolysis, we performed shock recovery experiments of various PAHs (naphthalene, anthracene, pyrene, and fluoranthene) at pressures ranging from 12.0 to 33.7 GPa. The shockinduced pyrolysis predominantly produced
