✦ Synopsis

Malacoplakia of the kidney is a rare inflammatory disorder. We describe a case of bilateral renal malacoplakia in which the patient had diffuse involvement of the left kidney and a focal lesion in the right kidney. Sonography showed a diffusely echogenic, enlarged left kidney with loss of corticomedullary differentiation and a single anechoic lesion measuring 1.8 Γ— 1.6 Γ— 1.3 cm in the right kidney. A left nephrectomy was performed, and the right kidney was managed conservatively with sonographic monitoring.

Brucellar hepatic abscesses are rare; to our knowledge, only 41 cases have been described in the literature. We report the case of a 29-year-old Spanish woman who was hospitalized because of fever, weakness, and weight loss. Abdominal sonography showed a hypoechoic lesion with central calcification.

We report the case of a postmenopausal patient presenting with bilateral solid Bartholin's gland lesions. The clinical and sonographic features suggested a nonaggressive process, allowing the surgeon to choose excisional biopsy of 1 of the lesions rather than radical excision to establish the diagno
