โœฆ Synopsis

Sonographic demonstration of a rare cystic lesion arising from the peritoneum is presented. Multilocular peritoneal inclusion cyst has received little attention in the literature. A review of the subject appeared in a 1965 CPC.' Similar case reports of lesions termed "benign mesothelioma of the peritoneum,"' and "multicystic peritoneal mes~thelioma"~ have appeared more recently.

This benign tumor may arise spontaneously, or may be associated with endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and previous pelvic surgery.
