Adult intussusception is a rare condition, unlike the common Occurrence of intussusception in children. The clinical presentation is varied and nonspecific. Since the initial sonographic description by Burke and Clark' in 1977, about 20 other cases have been published. In only three cases were detailed sonographic findings suggestive of the diagnosis presented.24
