✦ Synopsis

A new batch of CaSO4:Dy sintered pellets from Boris Kidric Institute has been studied. From this study it appears that the new product can be very useful in environmental dosimetry if a simple annealing procedure is performed before irradiation. A pre-readout annealing is also suggested to erase the first peak, which fades very quickly.
