## Abstract DDT (I) was polycondensed with 2,2‐__bis__(4‐hydroxy phenyl)‐ propane (bisphenol‐A) to form polyether. The following monomers were synthesised from DDT: 2,2‐__bis__(4‐chloro‐phenyl)1, 1‐dichloroethylene(II), 2,2‐__bis__(3‐nitro‐4‐chlorophenyl)ethane (III) and 2,2‐__bis__ (3‐nitro‐4‐chlo
