✦ Synopsis

Let ~3,~ be the braid group on n strings and let q5 : %n -+ S,~ be the standard homomorphism of ~3,~ onto the group of permutations of the set {1,..., n}. In this paper the author calculates, using the Reidemeister-Schreier method, a presentation for the subgroups ~,~,p of ~3n whose image ~,(~3n,p) in S,~ preserves a partition P of the set {1,... ,n}.
