β¦ Synopsis
For a blunt crack thei-integral is path dependent on contours which are very close to the crack tip even for elastic material. Using the incremental J-integral theory we introduce a new parameter J, characterizing the behavior of a crack tip and prove that thej-integral is almost path independent on contours whose radii are greater than several GOD if u,,,AQ -c,Ao$ = 0 in plastic regions for elasto-plastic material.

The boundary integral equation method is a numerical technique extensively applied in the solution of boundary value problems from many different engineering fields. The starting point of the method is the formulation of an integral equation which gives the variable at any point in terms of single a
In the present paper we investigated the boundary value problems appearing in the study of diffraction of acoustical or electromagnetic waves on arbitrary bounded body contained within the wedge. The potential theory has been developed making it possible to reduce the boundary value problems to Fred
## Abstract For numerical analyses of fracture mechanics problems often a combination of the finite element method with a post processor program for the evaluation of Jβintegral values is used. Instead of calculating a line integral as originally proposed by RICE it is reasonable to evaluate surfac
