The RAND Corporation Some of the principles and concepts of a revised logistics data-processing system, proposed f o r the A i r F o r c e and developed at RAND, a r e discussed. These ideas provide a general framework in which a dataprocessing s y s t e m might be developed that would be able to meet the operational needs of the 1 9 6 0 ' s . The ideas developed in this paper, although pointed particularly a t the Air F o r c e , might have relevance and use for the other military services and for industry in general.
