For CdS the value ~n = 250 cm ~ V -1 sec -x has been reported 4) 6). As the mobility in CdS must be expected to be slightly higher than that in ZnS, the value 285 em 2 V -a sec -x found by Lenz with another ZnS crystal is probably too high.
