## Consider the set K of all nonempty compact subsets of a compact metric space (M, d), endowed with the Hausdorff metric. In this paper, we prove that K is isometric to a subset of loo(R). An approximation result is also proved.

In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition under which a pair of usual functions of 2 on [0, 1] (sup,(u,)~-, sup,(u,) +) can determine a fuzzy number, and give a condition under which the supremum and infimum for a sequence of fuzzy numbers preserve the approximation properties for
Potassium-permanganate consumption has been widely used as a measure of the content of oxidizable matter in lake waters . Concerning humic influenced lakes especially, the KMnO 4 consumption often is used as one of the criteria for humosity. According to their humus content, these lakes as a rule ar
Two linear maps are usually needed to separate disjoint convex subsets of an idempotent semimodule. In the context of Max-Plus convexity separation can be achieved by a single map if one considers linear maps with values in a linearly ordered semimodule, whose construction is given here, which is no
