An artificial correlation introduced as a direct consequence of constructing dimensionless quantities from sets of unrelated data is investigated. The analysis results in expressions for the induced correlation coefficient and power-law exponent that permit workers to examine the objectivity of results obtained with this method of data analysis.

In this paper we investigate the breakup mechanisms of power law liquid jets. The viscosity of the liquid is represented the Carreau-Yasuda model, and the surface tension of the liquid jet has a variation (gradient) along the jet axial direction. The surface tension gradient may be introduced by the
In this paper, we investigate the adhesive contact between a rigid cylinder of radius R and a graded elastic half-space with a Young's modulus varying with depth according to a power-law, E ΒΌ E 0 Γ°y=c 0 Γ k Γ°0 < k < 1Γ, while the Poisson's ratio m remains constant. The results show that, for a given
