โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
The initial formation of a warm sector is attributed mainly to geostrophic motion, associated firstly with external systems and secondly with deformation of the warm air mass. The occlusion process is due to a combination of convergence with a suitable distribution of geostrophic motion. The concentration of convergence ahead of the warm front is attributed mainly to the isallobaric effect and not to curvature.
