AbstractÐSome topics of current interest in dislocation theory are discussed. Included are considerations of the elastic ®elds of dislocations with emphasis on nonlinear and anisotropic elastic eects and boundary conditions for computer simulations. Also discussed are core structures, extended dislocation arrays, boundaries and interfaces and dislocations in thin ®lms.
