There are occasions when a linear autonomous functional differential equation of mixed type can be reduced to a neutral or retarded equation. A necessary condition for such reducibility is shown to be that the set of solutions of the characteristic equation is bounded on the right in the complex pla

Abstract
We prove some comparison results for the periodic boundary value problem related to a first‐order functional differential equation of advanced type. These maximum principles provide uniqueness results for nonlinear differential equations with advanced arguments. By a change of variable, we deduce analogous results for fuctional differential equations with delayed arguments (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions for convex functional differential equations of neutral type with finite and infinite delay.
The main purpose of this paper is to study oscillatory and stability properties of linear systems of differential equations with piecewise constant argument in which the argument has a fixed point in each interval of a certain length. The results obtained solve a problem proposed by I. Gyori and G.
