โฆ Synopsis
Cancer is the bitter enemy to human health. Searching for effective antitumor drugs is one of the most important medical research problems. I n China during the last 30 years a great deal of chemical compounds as well as natural products including medicinal herbs have been screened and investigated [l]. Some of them have been recommended for clinical trials and put into production.
I n our laboratory anticancer agents such as actinomycin K, antimony complexones, nitrocaphane, homoharringtonine (HHRT), hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT), lycobetaine (LBT) and oxalysine (OXL) were studied in detail. I n recent years we payed much attention to elucidation of mechanism of drug action using genetic engineering technique. I n this paper some new results will be reviewed.
