Abstract
This is a brief review of recent progress in constructing solutions to the matrix model Virasoro equations. These equations are parameterized by a degree n polynomial W~n~(x), and the general solution is labeled by an arbitrary function of n β 1 coefficients of the polynomial. We also discuss in this general framework a special class of (multiβcut) solutions recently studied in the context of π© = 1 supersymmetric gauge theories.

We describe and compare several algorithms for approximating the solution to a model in which inequality constraints occasionally bind. Their performance is evaluated and compared using various parameterizations of the one sector growth model with irreversible investment. We develop parameterized ex
