✦ Synopsis
Two nonlinear eigenvalue problems associated with strongly nonlinear partial differential equations are considered under a Dirichlet boundary condition on a square domain. The p-version of the finiteelement method ia applied to evaluate the first eigenvalue and the corresponding eigenfunction. The numerical results are compared with the results obtained by the h-version of the FEM.
