✦ Synopsis
The "dielectric theory" of solvent effect on Raman intensity has been modified in order to take into account the anisotropic character of molecular polarizability. The resulting expression for the scattering coefficient agrees well with experimental results for strongly anisotropic mo!ecules.
In the first paper of this series [l] it has been shown that the Raman intensity of components of many binary mixtures obey to a fair approximation the simple relation SS [
