✦ Synopsis

The double-ordinate spherical harmonic method presented by Wilson and Sen (Publ. Astron. Soc. Jpn. 15 (1963) 351) has been used to solve the equation of radiative transfer in the Milne-Eddington model for interlocked doublets. Solutions have been obtained in the ÿrst and second approximation in a particular case Á 1 = 1; Á 2 = 1 2 .
