โฆ Synopsis
I-naphthyl acetic acid fluorescence quenching data have been employed to evaluate the distribution of fumaronitrile, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, methylmethamylate and n-butylmethactylate between the organic pseudophase and AOT inverse micelles in heptane. The measurements were carried out over a wide range of water-to-surfactant ratios. From the results obtained it is possible to estimate the solute distribution between the organic pseudophase, the interface and the water pool.

In previous papers it has been shown that solubibzation of native cytochrome c in sodium bis(2-ethyIbexyl) suIfosuccinate/ water/isooctane reverse miceIIes induces a percolation phenomenon in dilute micellar solution compared to empty miceIIes. This has been attributed to an increase in the interact
Gold nanoparticles, synthesized within AOT reversed micelles, have been imaged by an atomic force microscope (AFM) operating in the contact mode in air at room temperature. The AFM images show an attractive interaction among gold nanoparticles leading to the formation of well distinct aggregates whe
The effect of a number of polar and non-polar organic molecules on the micellization of sodium dodecyl sulfate at low surfactant and additive concentration has been studied by fluorescence probing methods. The solubilization and its effect on micellar parameters and structure is examined and some ge
