✦ Synopsis
The solubilization of benzoic acid in the presence of an additive, benzene, has been examined by the potentiometric method. I t is shown that i n all systems of L1 phase (isotropic aqueous liquid) the solubilization mechanism is governed by the L a n g muir isotherm, whereas i n emulsions dimerization of benzoic acid apparently occurs.
