Solubilities of L-aspartic, DL-aspartic, DL-glutaric, p-hydroxybenzoic, o-anisic, p-anisic, and itaconic acids in water were determined in the temperature range 278 to 345 K. From these solubilities the apparent molar enthalpies of solution at T s 298.15 K were derived, and these . y1 . y1 Ž . Ž are: ⌬ H L-C H O N, m s 0.0379 mol kg s 26.7 kJ mol ; ⌬ H DL-C H O N, sol m 4 7 4 sol m 4 7 4 y1 33.7 kJ mol .
