✦ Synopsis

Solubilities of 1-hexanol, or 1,2-hexanediol, or 2-hydroxypropanoic acid ethyl ester, or Ž 2-hydroxyhexanoic acid ethyl ester in supercritical CO have been measured at T s 311, 2 . 318, and 323, or 328 K in the pressure range from 1 MPa to 8 MPa. The measurements have been performed using a flow-type equipment coupled with a novel analytical procedure. An accurate correlation method for the solubility of low volatile substances in supercritical CO 2 based on the equilibrium condition for the solute has been proposed and successfully applied for the interpolation of our experimental results.
