✦ Synopsis
Tin-119, tin-117) coupling satellites are visible in the CP/MAR spectra of tetrakis(trimethylstanny1)methane and of a series of tetrastannacyclohexanes, the values in the solid and solution states being equal within experimental error. The single signal from the former compound has a line width of only 28 Hz. The broad lines (Avln 320 Hz) obtained for 1,4-bis(trimethylstnyl)benzene precluded the observation of 'ASnSn).

## Abstract The ^1^__J__(SnC)s in the tin–carbon double‐bond systems were determined for the first time. These results were supported by theoretical calculations, showing the high s‐character of the SnC double bonds. The new findings obtained will be of great use in the development of tin‐contain
