✦ Synopsis
The structure of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatites possesses a variety of partially dehydrated hydroxyapatite structures. Nuclear magnetic resonance, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray di4raction have been used to analyze the structure of partially dehydrated hydroxyapatites. The oxyhydroxyapatites are prepared from crystalline hydroxyapatite by thermal treatment in air. The obtained results enable an advanced phase analysis of plasmasprayed hydroxyapatite layers.
