✦ Synopsis
A correlation between isotropic ?Si chemical shifts and mean Si-0 bond length is presented for ten silicates containing sixfold coordinated silicon. The %i chemical shift data afford a measure of the cationic, neutral or anionic character of the octahedral silicon.

## Abstract We have used ^29^Si solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to study the chemical structure of the silicone gels in virgin and explanted breast prostheses. Despite evidences of alteration in the morphological appearance of the silicone gel inside the breast prosthesis,
p<:yclodc\trin inclusion complexes of 3-aminobenzonitrile. 4-aminobenzonitrile. and adamantane-I-carbonitrile \\ere studied by means of high-resoiution solid-state CP MAS 13C NMR spectroscopy. The interactions between the host and guest molecules are discussed.
